You haven’t seen my face on here in a while and now you know why.
But here I am, wanting to show you that I’m okay and say THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for the extreme kindness and support you’ve shown me as I told my story. God is already using this to bring comfort to myself and others.

If you’re wondering how to encourage a friend or loved one going through a miscarriage, I think a great place to start is just by listening to their story – if they’re ready to share – and acknowledging their pain & hurt.
Point them to the God of all comfort.
As I’m writing this, the song with these lyrics came on,
“from life’s first cry
to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny”
I will never know the sound of this child’s cry or be constantly checking for the sound of their breathing. I long to have met my baby here in person but their purpose on earth is complete.
What that purpose was, my finite mind does not know. But I do know that God is at work in a suffering world. He is transforming my life according to His purpose.
“Till he returns
or calls me home
here in the power of Christ I’ll stand.”
In Christ Alone
Stuart Townend
In Christ alone my hope is found,
He is my light, my strength, my song
This Cornerstone, this solid Ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm.
What heights of love, what depths of peace
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease
My Comforter, my All in All
Here in the love of Christ I stand.
In Christ alone! – who took on flesh,
Fullness of God in helpless babe.
This gift of love and righteousness,
Scorned by the ones He came to save
Till on that cross as Jesus died,
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live.
There in the ground His body lay,
Light of the world by darkness slain:
Then bursting forth in glorious day
Up from the grave He rose again
And as He stands in victory
Sin’s curse has lost its grip on me,
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ
No guilt in life, no fear in death,
This is the power of Christ in me
From life’s first cry to final breath,
Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell, no scheme of man,
Can ever pluck me from His hand
Till He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand.

Natalie, so sorry to hear about your miscarriage. Many years ago, I miscarried my first pregnancy and went on to have 5 full term pregnancies. And yes, I look forward to meeting this little one in heaven. I don’t know how far along you were, mine was only about 8 wks, but it doesn’t matter. My second son died 21 years ago at 29 yrs so it doesn’t matter. They are still a part of your life and the pain is just as great. But I find comfort in II Cor. 12:9, “my grace is sufficient” and it has been so precious. “God is still in charge” so who am I to question Him and His will. Love and Prayers to you both.
